WORKSHEET
Overview:
Matthew is a treasured Gospel in our Latin Rite. Matthew was the primary Gospel read every year in the vetus ordo, and Matthew was highly favored by the Church Fathers. Because of its structure, Matthew was commonly used for teaching the gospel message of Christ (hence why it became standard for centuries in the Church’s liturgies). Matthew gives us such stories as the Sermon on the Mount, the Confession of St. Peter, and the story of the Magi.
The suggested pace is ~2 chapters per week, taking a total of 14 weeks to complete. Each set contains an image relating to those chapters, a summary of various sections, memory verses, multiple Reflection Questions, Delving Deeper (historical note), Faith of Our Fathers (quote from a Church Father), Liturgical Note (how does the reading connect to the liturgy), and Apologetics Corner (how do these readings help us defend our faith).
As always, these workbooks are FREE, but I do ask two things: 1) Please send feedback and suggestions; and 2) Consider sending a donation to our donor advised fund, which is tax deductible and supports the charitable missions I hold dear. You can follow the link here.
