WORKSHEET COLORING PAGES
Overview:
Luke is a fascinating gospel. Luke presents readers with difficulty and challenging stories, verses, and parables, forcing the reader to confront their own shortcomings. Luke gives every Christian a strong lesson in what it truly means to be a disciple. Just as importantly, from Luke’s gospel flows so much of our liturgy. While Matthew was read at Mass for centuries, it is Luke who gives us the Benedictus, the Magnificat, and the Nunc Dimmitis. From Luke flows the Gloria sung at every Mass. In look are the unique parables of the Good Samaritan as well as the Two Brothers and Father.
The suggested pace is 2 chapters per week, taking a total of 12 weeks to complete. This allows for completion over the summer (beginning in late May and ending early August) or during one school semester (providing for holiday breaks). Each set contains an image relating to those chapters, a summary of various sections, memory verses, multiple Reflection Questions, Delving Deeper (historical note), Faith of Our Fathers (quote from a Church Father), Liturgical Note (how does the reading connect to the liturgy), and Apologetics Corner (how do these readings help us defend our faith).
ALSO NOTE: this Bible study includes coloring pages, relating to the readings for that week. I found that the high school students often listen better when their hands are occupied with coloring.
As always, these workbooks are FREE, but I do ask two things: 1) Please send feedback and suggestions; and 2) Consider sending a donation to our donor advised fund, which is tax deductible and supports the charitable missions I hold dear.
